❄️ Snow Emergency Regulations – Sidewalk Snow Removal ❄️
Southwest Greensburg Borough

Please be reminded of the Borough’s Snow Emergency Regulations (Code 7.61(A)(3)) regarding sidewalk snow removal:

• 6–10 inches of snow: must be removed within 24 hours
• 10–20 inches of snow: must be removed within 48 hours
• 20 inches or more: must be removed within 36 hours

Property owners are responsible for keeping sidewalks clear and passable.

🚨 Code Enforcement will begin addressing sidewalks that are not in compliance.

 TRASH COLLECTION & WINTER STORM NOTICE 🚨

There will be NO trash pickup on Monday, January 26, due to a landfill closure and predicted snowfall.
Please expect delays with trash pickup for the remainder of the week.

🛣️ Road Conditions & Public Works Update
Public Works crews will be working to make roads passable, not necessarily completely clear.
Crews will focus first on hills and intersections.

Please use extreme caution and travel only when necessary.

❄️ Important Winter Reminder
Road salt is significantly less effective when temperatures fall below 15–20°F.

🤝 How Residents Can Help
We kindly ask for your assistance with the following:

• Use off-street parking if available
  
  

• Do not shovel snow into the streets
  
  

• Remove snow from fire hydrants and the area in front of your home
  
  

• Check on neighbors, especially the elderly or disabled
  
  

• Be mindful of pets during extreme cold
