Southwest Greensburg Borough – WCTCC Delegate and Alternate Needed
The Borough of Southwest Greensburg is seeking someone to serve on the Westmoreland County Tax Collection Committee (WCTCC). The WCTCC is a governing body that oversees the collection of Earned Income Tax (EIT) from all municipalities and school districts in the county. The committee's primary responsibilities include:
· Appointing a tax collector
· Oversight of the tax collector
· Ensuring proper tax distribution
· Resolving tax issues
If you are interested in volunteering, submit a letter of interest to the Borough Office at 564 Stanton Street on or before October 1.

Southwest Greensburg Borough – Civil Service Committee Members Needed
The Borough of Southwest Greensburg is seeking residents to serve on the Civil Service Committee. Committee members oversee merit-based police employment to ensure fair, impartial hiring and promotion practices based on ability, not political influence. Responsibilities include creating and enforcing civil service rules, managing examinations, establishing eligibility lists, and hearing appeals from employees regarding disciplinary actions like demotion or dismissal. The overall goal is to maintain a professional, efficient, and non-political workforce.
Eligibility Requirements:
· Must be a resident of Southwest Greensburg Borough
· Cannot be a federal or state government employee
This is a volunteer opportunity to get involved and make a positive impact in our community. Interested residents should submit letter of interest to the Borough Office at 564 Stanton Street on or before October 1.

The Southwest Greensburg Borough Junior Council Person (JCP) program was established for high school and college students residing in Southwest Greensburg Borough to gain hands on experience in local government. Our JCP program allows high school and college student the opportunity to learn critical thinking skills including team building and collaboration, public speaking, public engagement, budgeting, and running effective meetings. It also allows the student the opportunity to deliberate on issues that are affecting his or her community. This program is dedicated to sparking a passion for community service, providing a foundation for future government leaders, or those who seek a career in public service.
This program is run by Council President Miles Webb III. Interested students can find an application on the FORMS page of this website.

Southwest Greensburg Police Department Surveillance Camera Registration Form
Registration is voluntary and there is no cost associated with registration. Registering your information does not provide SWGPD with direct access to your camera. You may delete your registration at any time. Your information will be accessed by law enforcement personnel who are investigating a crime in the vicinity of where your camera is located. You will only be contacted by the Southwest Greensburg Police Department in the future if there is a criminal incident in the vicinity of your security camera. Police personnel, if necessary, may request a copy of any video captured by your camera, which may assist in the investigation of a crime.

6.12 CURFEW FOR MINORS
It shall be unlawful for any person 17 or less years of age (under 18) to be or remain in or upon the streets within the Borough of Southwest Greensburg at night during the period ending at 6 a.m. and beginning:
A. At 10 p.m. for minors 11 or less years of age;
B. At 10:30 p.m. for minors 12 or 13 years of age; and
C. At 11 p.m. for minors 14 or more years of age.
