2017 Final Budget

Southwest Greensburg Borough Council adopted the 2017 final budget at their regular meeting on December 14, 2016.  Included in the budget is a real estate tax increase and increases in commercial and residential garbage rates.

Real estate taxes will increase from 20 mills to 22 mills.  The average property owner will see property taxes increase by $32.  The last tax increase for Southwest Greensburg Borough was in 2011.

The annual residential garbage rate in 2017 will increase from $145 to $155.  Taxpayers that take advantage of the 5% annual early payment discount will pay $147.25.
Commercial customers will see their garbage rates increase approximately 6.6%.
